YG Acoustics Carmel 3 Lautsprecher Review in “PartTimeAudiophile.com” Online Magazin, Juli 2025
Es ist der dritte Test eines YG Lautsprechers durch Marc und er beschreibt seine bisherigen Erfahrungen mit der Sonja und der Talus so: "I came to the conclusion that the Sonja 3.2s were great in absolute terms, while the Talus was more of the type of speaker I’d seriously consider for myself if I was being practical". Um dann natürlich auf die Carmel 3 einzugehen bei denen er einen fast schon magischen Bass feststellt: "I felt something magical happening with the Carmels, something that can be condensed to “how do you get so much bass from such a small, mostly shallow enclosure?” und er findet ein Fazit zur Bass-Performance "the Carmel 3’s lowest bass performance qualifies as “all I ever need, really.”.
Bezogen auf Neutralität und richtiger Wiedergabe schreibt er weiter "When I say that the YGs are very neutral, especially in comparison to the some of the more esoteric designs I’ve hosted lately, I wander into the land of “they sound like absolutely nothing!” I tried six different amplifiers with the Carmels, and I consistently heard what each one brought to the table in terms of tonality. That makes them an ideal reviewer’s tool, of course, just like the Sonja 3.2s." Wer also "Sound" liebt, sollte weiter suchen. Wer allerdings klangliche Wahrheit liebt, der sollte die Carmel 3 hören...
Sein Fazit: "They are small and they are expensive, but they are also worth every penny because they simply accomplish so much. The imaging and soundstaging is spectacular, the tonality is natural and honest and neutral, and an honest 32 Hz is certainly all I need–especially when the goose bumps are so easily and consistently evoked. After so many years with these speakers occupying a space in the back of my brain, I feel lucky that we met and my expectations were surpassed. Highly recommended."
